It all started back in 2015 with a simple idea to help balance my mind, body and soul. The original goal was to practice being creative every day for an entire year and reflect on how it affected my well being. Whether it was a 20 minute doodle session or eventually working on larger paintings or developing a love for photography, that first year was a success and my philosophy has only grown since...
After discovering the long lasting positive effects of creativity, the new goal is to spread the word through my visual art, photography, and newly founded line of apparel...
As a self-taught artist, I try to dive into my creative side each and every day. Constantly learning, I am not afraid to explore new ideas, techniques, mediums, or to work outside of my comfort zone.
For the past two years, my work has been focused on the use of fluid acrylics and resin. After a year or so of science experiments in the studio, I created my own stable recipe consisting of a mixture of acrylic paints, various paint mediums, and sometimes silicon. Using this mixture, along with a few specific techniques, I’m able to create paintings that interesting and unique. Most times, I primarily paint on either wood panels or stretched canvas, and sometimes heavy watercolor paper. Other than paintings, I also use this technique to create functional art such as custom clocks, tables, jewelry, drink coasters, and even Christmas ornaments around the holidays.
A lot of my color palettes are inspired by my visits to tropical locations such as Aruba or the Mexican Caribbean. My dream has always been to live along the beach somewhere and my goal with my work is to remind myself and everyone else of these beautiful places.
